USABA Championship

All blind and visually impaired athletes are invited to compete in the 2008 Vision 5K for the U.S. National Championship. Prize money will be awarded to the top five visually impaired men and women.
The Vision 5K has been designated as the National Championship by the US Association of Blind Athletes (USABA). The 2008 Visually Impaired division purse totals $7,600—with $3,800 awarded for the top five visually impaired men, and $3,800 for the top five visually impaired women.
Guides who run with an athlete who places in the top five will be awarded an honorarium for their efforts. To see a breakdown of monetary awards.

The Visually Impaired Division is sponsored by the Carroll Center for the Blind, MAB Community Services, National Braille Press, New England Eye Institute, and Perkins School for the Blind.
